The Independence Historical Museum & Art Center proudly presents Young Artists 2026, an inspiring art exhibition showcasing the creativity and talent of students in 3rd through 12th grades. This annual exhibit highlights a wide range of artistic expression and provides young artists the opportunity to display their work in a professional gallery setting.

Visitors are invited to experience fresh perspectives, bold ideas, and imaginative works created by local and regional youth. From painting and mixed media to drawing and design, Young Artists 2026 celebrates the next generation of creatives and the importance of arts education in our community.

  • Saturday, March 28 | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• Art Pickup:

  • Friday, April 17 | 3:30 – 5:30 PM

  • Saturday, April 18 | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

This exhibit is a wonderful opportunity for families, educators, and visitors to support young talent while enjoying a vibrant and uplifting gallery experience in downtown Independence.
