Celebrate Memorial Day

The community is invited to attend the Memorial Day Ceremony and Gold Star Family Memorial Dedication on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Veterans Freedom Square in Independence, Kansas. 
This special ceremony will honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and recognize the strength and sacrifice of Gold Star Families who continue to carry their loved ones’ legacy forward.
