Park Opening

The community is invited to kick off another season of family fun at Riverside Park during the annual Riverside Park Opening on Saturday, April 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Riverside Park Oval. This free event offers an afternoon of activities for families and visitors of all ages.

Activities will include face painting, a petting zoo, crafts, train rides, carousel rides, and pony rides.

Food vendors will be set up in the oval, and Miss Able’s Snack Shack will be open with snacks and lunch available for purchase.

The Riverside Park Opening is a great way for families to welcome spring and enjoy one of Independence’s most loved parks.
