18 - 102.9 Rocks Cruise In & Car Show - Load up the kids and head to the park as the Opening Day activities kick off at 9 am. Fastlane Performance Group, Derailed Commodity, and The Car Shop will once again bring out the finest cars and motorcycles for this monthly non judged show. 29, 30- Equine Eagles Flip Flop Vaulting Clinic - Gymnastics on Horseback!  It's FUN! for both able and non-able bodied participants. This event teaches confidence, trust, teamwork and responsibility, in a closely supervised environment. No prior experience necessary. 2 - Relay For Life - Night Out To Celebrate Life -  The Independence Relay for Life Organization announces a Night out to Celebrate Life on June 6, 2009 at 6 pm at the Wesley Center, 111 E. Maple in Independence. The event is free and is for all cancer survivors and their families. The event is made possible by a number of different sponsors and is an opportunity for survivors to come together and share their experiences and offer support. The meal will be prepared by the staff and management of Eggbert’s. For more information about the dinner please contact Debbie Caldwell at 620-330-2662.

6- Summer Crafts Fair - Location: Independence Historical Museum. Deposit for entry $25 for first table, $20 per each additional table.  Set -up Friday June 5th from 1-7 p.m. or Saturday June 6th,  6 - 8 a.m.  Or come view the booths from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.  For more information contact the Independence Historical Museum at 620-331-3515.
